Hello, my name is Kasia (“Ka-shya”)I have been working as a Remedial Sports Massage therapist for over 17 years, and know a thing or two about sports – and sports injuries – and how to treat them.
Back in Poland, where I’m from, I used to compete in Freestyle Wrestling (I am a former Polish Wrestling Champion) and I also worked for the Polish Wrestling Team as a massage therapist. I graduated from the Academy of Physical Education in Warsaw with a master’s degree in Coaching and arrived in Sydney in 2003. Since then I have worked with chiropractors and osteopaths in Sydney’s Eastern Suburbs.
My passion always was, and still is sport. Apart from competing in wrestling, I have played American Football for NSW Surge in the LFL League, later in Adelaide Phoenix in LGL League. Most recently I played in full-kit gridiron for UNSW Raiders where our team won Opal Cup.
Last season, in 2018, I joined newly formed team University of Sydney Lions and got to play my favourite position – Quarterback. We won that season as well.
Between football seasons I have attempted WBFF Bikini Competition and placed 1st in Bikini Diva, age 35+ category, as well as 7th overall. Two weeks later I entered IFBB competition in Sydney and placed 2nd in Masters and 3rd in Novice.
Above all, I love being active and maintaining a strong body, it helps me stay actively involved in looking after my clients, colleagues and even co-competitors.
